Very disappointing customer service from Robert, the barista. I visited on August 20 at around 3:00 PM. I first politely ordered oat milk, but my drink was made with coconut milk instead. When I calmly approached him to clarify that I had ordered oat milk, he became very defensive and kept insisting that I was the one who made the mistake and that I had asked for coconut milk. I would have completely understood if it was simply a misunderstanding—mistakes happen. However, his attitude throughout the interaction was extremely rude. While I was speaking to him politely, he continued insisting that I was wrong and was even banging the utensils down hard while preparing the drink, which came across as a display of frustration toward me. I also tried to order a hotdog, and his response was extremely rude. He said, “I SAID GOURMET IS NOT AVAILABLE,” in a very aggressive and dismissive manner. There was absolutely no reason to speak to a customer that way. This was not just a simple mistake with my order—it was the way he repeatedly spoke to me, blamed me, and displayed his frustration while I was trying to order. I was told his name was Robert, although I’m not 100% certain I was given the correct name. I hope management can identify the staff member working at the counter at 3:00 PM on August 20 and address this behavior. Customers should be treated with basic respect and professionalism.
